Who is responsible for your information
I, rodo h orellana, operate this personal portfolio and am the data controller. You can contact me at me@rodo-h-orellana.com. I do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Information this site processes
The site is hosted by Contabo. Like most web hosts, its servers may process technical logs such as your IP address, browser, requested page, date and time. These logs are used to deliver and secure the site and to diagnose faults.
I use GoatCounter to understand aggregate site usage, including pages viewed, referral source, approximate country, browser, device size, and clicks on CV, email and LinkedIn links. GoatCounter does not place cookies or persistent identifiers on your device and does not retain IP addresses in its database. Its hosted service processes data in Germany and Finland.
The colour-theme control can save a light or dark preference in your browser's local storage. That preference stays on your device until you clear it.
Contact by email
If you contact me, Google Workspace processes your email address, message and any information you include so I can respond. I do not add you to a marketing list. I normally delete correspondence within 12 months of our last interaction. I may retain relevant correspondence for longer where we have an ongoing application, employment or professional relationship, or where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may ask me to delete your correspondence sooner.
Legal basis and retention
I rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the site, respond to enquiries, and understand aggregate usage so I can improve it. I aim to retain security logs for no longer than 30 days and aggregate analytics for no longer than 13 months, unless a longer period is reasonably required to investigate a security incident.
Your privacy choices
You can disable or re-enable GoatCounter analytics for this browser. Disabling it takes effect from the next page load and does not remove statistics already aggregated.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, or object to its use. Email me@rodo-h-orellana.com to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab).
This site does not use personal information for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
